Businessman Mehariw Gelagay is the owner and CEO of Mehari Properties Inc., based in Portland, Oregon. Through the company, he invests in and manages multi-unit and single-family homes in the Portland metropolitan area. He oversees property maintenance, tenant relations, and finances. In this role, Mehariw Gelagay leverages his real estate expertise as a licensed real estate agent in both Washington and Oregon. Since 2022, he has provided real estate brokerage services to clients in the two states, helping them buy and sell properties.

Mehariw Gelagay is also active in the health care space as the owner and executive director of RoyalCare Inc., a residential care facility for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this position, he oversees the daily operations of the business, ensuring quality care to residents while staying compliant with relevant regulations. He has run the company since 2020. Prior to that, he was the founder and operator of MG’s Adult Foster Home before its integration into RoyalCare Inc.

Before immigrating to the United States, Mehariw Gelagay was a lecturer at the University of Gondar in Gondar, Ethiopia. He helped develop curriculum for marketing courses and taught undergraduate students.

Mr. Gelagay has an MBA from the University of Gondar and a BA in marketing and sales management from Adama University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring nature, and watching movies and spending time with his family in and out of town.
